Before you install
Punch Clock Terms
Please read this carefully before continuing to install.
7-day free trial · $5.99 AUD/month after
Punch Clock starts with a 7-day free trial — no card required up front. After the trial, the subscription is $5.99 AUD/month per ServiceM8 company, billed externally from ServiceM8 via Over Geek. A Manage billing link inside Punch Clock’s settings takes you to your billing portal.
Requires staff to be clocking on and off in ServiceM8
Punch Clock is built entirely from the clock on / lunch / clock off punches your team makes in the ServiceM8 mobile app. If they already do that, there’s nothing to migrate — this pay period will be populated the moment you install. If your crew doesn’t clock on and off in ServiceM8, Punch Clock won’t have anything to show.
Heads up: ServiceM8 may show an "unverified" warning
When you click install, ServiceM8 may display a warning that the add-on hasn’t been verified by them yet. That’s normal for add-ons installed directly via the developer rather than from the official ServiceM8 Add-on Store.
Always be cautious about these warnings and only accept and enable trusted add-ons. Please review our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions, and if you have any questions please reach out.
Important: stop billing before you uninstall
ServiceM8 does not notify add-on developers when you uninstall an add-on. If you uninstall Punch Clock without first cancelling your subscription via the Manage billing portal, your card will keep being charged.
If you’d prefer to contact us to stop billing instead of using the portal yourself, please give us a few business days’ notice before your next charge date so we can cancel it in time and avoid an unwanted charge. Reach out at [email protected].
How billing works
- Every new install gets a 7-day free trial automatically — no payment required to start.
- Inside Punch Clock’s settings you’ll see a countdown of the days remaining and an Add billing / Manage billing link.
- After the trial ends, the subscription is $5.99 AUD/month per ServiceM8 company, billed through Over Geek’s billing portal — not through your ServiceM8 invoice.
- If you don’t add billing details before the trial ends, Punch Clock stops opening. Your ServiceM8 clock data, job time and staff notes are never affected.
- Cancel anytime from the Manage billing page — your ServiceM8 data is never touched.
What Punch Clock does — and doesn’t
- Reads the clock on / lunch / clock off punches and job-recorded time your staff already log in ServiceM8, and presents them as a timesheet.
- Stores no separate database of your hours. Shifts and job time are read live from ServiceM8 every time you open it.
- Saves time adjustments as ServiceM8 staff notes, so the record stays with the staff member in ServiceM8.
- Can reassign job time to a different job in ServiceM8 when you correct a mis-logged entry.
- Optionally reads kilometre / cost answers from your existing ServiceM8 forms to total mileage alongside the hours.
- Only your settings (pay period, lunch rules, admin roles, hidden staff) live on Over Geek’s server — see our Privacy Policy for the specifics.
Permissions
Punch Clock requests the ServiceM8 OAuth scopes it needs to read staff activity (the clock punches), staff and security roles, the schedule, jobs and job notes, and your forms — and to write the schedule changes and staff notes that adjustments are stored as. We never share your data with anyone outside Over Geek. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
By clicking "I understand & install", you acknowledge:
- Punch Clock starts with a 7-day free trial and then becomes a $5.99 AUD/month per ServiceM8 company subscription.
- Billing is handled externally from ServiceM8 via Over Geek — it does not affect your ServiceM8 subscription.
- Punch Clock requires your staff to be clocking on and off in ServiceM8 — it reads those punches rather than recording its own.
- Time adjustments are written back to ServiceM8 as staff notes.
- Uninstalling does not cancel billing — you need to stop billing yourself via the Manage billing portal, or contact us with a few days’ notice before your next charge.
- You can cancel and uninstall at any time without losing your ServiceM8 data.
